ICS Connect

Dr Deepak Goyal, Dr Rahul Shivaday, Dr Rajat Jangir and Dr Manish Singh were the ICS faculty for the meeting. Local faculty from AIIMS jodhpur and JOSS were actively involved as well. The didactic presentations covered the wide spectrum of cartilage science from the basic anatomy to the radiology and cutting-edge cartilage restorative procedures like MACI. All the presentations had great scientific content and were well appreciated by the attending young surgeons. The case-based discussions were truly interactive and provided an unique opportunity to the delegates to understand the finer nuances of cartilage management. The highlight of the day was the hands-on cadaveric session on OATS which allowed the delegates to practice and enhance their skill in the procedure under the guidance of the stalwarts. The organizing team at AIIMS Jodhpur created a seamless and well-executed program which ran on time while providing ample time for interactions. The day culminated with a get-together for the faculty under the ramparts the majestic Mehrangarh fort. The hospitality extended to the faculty and delegates was fit for royalty. The ICS has expanded its footprints in various states by organizing such regional meetings periodically and spreading the knowledge of Cartilage science. We look forwards to the next regional meeting this year followed by the Annual Congress at Nagpur in November 2024.
