    About

    • The ICS Domestic Fellowship is a one-month, intensive training program conducted under some of the leading cartilage surgeons in India. Designed as a short-term, knowledge-focused initiative, it offers immersive exposure to cartilage science through a structured rotating program within the host city
    • Open to both ICS members and non-members (Indian citizens only), this fellowship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical insight and academic experience in cartilage repair
    • The fellowship includes a grant of ₹30,000 along with reimbursement for economy-class return airfare

    Application Process

    IMPORTANT DATE: Abstract submission deadline is 30 June 2026.

    • The applicant must submit an abstract for the ICS Domestic Free Paper Session
    • The applicant must present their work during the ICS Congress
    • The applicant must compete for the fellowship, which is awarded to the first prize winner of the session
    • Fellowship dates will be announced during the 11th ICS Congress in Jodhpur (12–13 September 2026)
    • The selected fellow must submit a ₹10,000 security deposit within one week
    • The selected fellow must attend the next ICS Congress and present their fellowship report

    Rules

    Failure to follow any guidelines may result in termination of the fellowship.

    • Fellowship dates are fixed; no changes are permitted
    • Travel must be booked directly via airline websites and approved by the Fellowship Secretary
    • ICS is not responsible for flight disruptions or medical emergencies
    • Fellows must arrange their own accommodation and meals (hosts may assist)
    • The fellowship is strictly academic—no accompanying spouse or personal travel allowed
    • It cannot be combined with other fellowships, conferences, or personal programs
    • A 5-year gap is required before reapplying for any ICS fellowship
    • Domestic fellows who are ICS members may apply for international fellowships
    • ₹10,000 deposit required within one week of selection
    • Forfeited if the fellow does not report or complete the program
    • Refundable upon successful completion
