Fellowship Rules
- This ICS India Travelling Fellowship for Asians is open to all the citizens of Asia who are members of their home countries’ respective orthopedic/ arthroscopic/ cartilage organizations or member of any Asian orthopedic/ arthroscopic/ cartilage organization.
- This fellowship is not for Indian citizens as there is a separate fellowship for Indian citizens.
- The winner will be selected during the ‘ICS India Travelling Fellowship Free Paper Session’ during the ICS congress.
- The dates of the ICS India Travelling Fellowship for Asians for year 2024 will be announced during 10th Congress of ICS, to be held in Nagpuri from 29-30 November 2024. Fellow must stick to the dates announced and NO CHANGE will be allowed in it.
- This fellowship is a rotating fellowship within few cities of India. The fellow will travel across 3-4 cities across India and have an opportunity to work with some of the prominent and famous cartilage surgeons of India. The fellowship will start 2-3 weeks before the next ICS Congress and will end at the congress.
- The selected fellow will be invited to attend the next ICS congress (2024), and he must attend the next congress and present his fellowship report.
- The fellow will be supported with a travel grant for his international and domestic travel as per rules of ICS. ICS shall not be responsible for flight delays, flight cancellation, missed flights etc. Fellow must get his proposed tickets scrutinized by fellowship secretary before buying the ticket.
- The stay, local transport and food for the fellow will be arranged by the local hosts.
- ICS shall not be responsible or supportive in case of any medical emergency, and fellow must purchase enough medical insurance before coming to India.
- Procuring a visa shall be responsibility of the fellow, himself. ICS will issue an invitation letter to support the visa application.
- An ICS fellow cannot contest for any other ICS fellowship for next five years.
- This is a short-term fellowship aimed towards gaining knowledge. The selected fellow cannot combine other fellowship, other congress or personal program with this fellowship, either before or after the fellowship.
- Fellow should not take fellowship rules lightly. Fellowship cannot be allowed if any of the guideline of the fellowship is broken.
