Honorary Member Awards

Honorary Member Awards is given to a person who has done a remarkable work to propagate the science of Cartilage Repair in India. This award is different from Lifetime Achievement Award as it mainly concentrates a person's efforts to promote the science of Joint Preservation in India. This award is given during every Annual Congress to the members who has done some extraordinary publication in the field or they have presented their extraordinary work in some of the reputed Congresses of National or International professional Societies.

Dr Mats Brittberg was awarded the honorary member award in 2011 by Indian Cartilage Society for encouraging Dr Deepak Goyal to form Indian Cartilage Society in 2005. He contributed further for many meetings of Indian Cartilage Society and helped Indian Medical fraternity towards the importance of joint preservation. As a token of appreciation for his efforts, ICS awarded him honorary membership of the society in 2011.
